Lil'Jordan Humphrey Reverts to practice squad
Fri, Oct 10, 2025, 8:03 PM
Humphrey reverted to the Giants' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: With Malik Nabers (knee) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) injured, Humphrey started Thursday night against the Eagles and played 77 percent of the offensive snaps, finishing with four catches for 55 yards on eight targets in his first regular-season action of 2025. Humphrey figures to be a regular elevation candidate over the next few weeks after his strong Week 6 performance.
Beaux Collins
Beaux Collins Not targeted in Week 6 victory
Fri, Oct 10, 2025, 3:33 PM
Collins didn't get a passing target Thursday in a 34-17 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: The Giants were playing without wideouts Malik Nabers (knee, out for the season) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) on Thursday, so there was some expectation that Collins would be asked to step into a bigger role. Instead, he logged only four offensive snaps while practice-squad elevation Lil'Jordan Humphrey worked as New York's No. 2 wideout with a 77 percent snap share. Jalin Hyatt (29 offensive snaps) was also above Collins in the pecking order, and the latter's participation level was his lowest since he played exclusively on special teams in Week 2 versus Dallas. With that in mind, Collins doesn't appear to be moving up the Giants' depth chart even given the team's injuries at the wideout position, so he's probably not worth a roster spot in almost all fantasy formats.
Jalin Hyatt
Jalin Hyatt Records first catches of campaign
Fri, Oct 10, 2025, 3:27 PM
Hyatt caught three of five targets for 17 yards in Week 6 during Thursday's 34-17 win over Philadelphia.
Analysis: With Malik Nabers (knee) out for the season and Darius Slayton (hamstring) inactive for Week 6, Hyatt by default was called upon for a bigger role. Hyatt still put up a modest stat line, though he did reel in catches on back-to-back plays during a second-quarter drive that ultimately ended in a touchdown. However, Hyatt was out-snapped by a 53-29 margin by practice-squad elevation Lil'Jordan Humphrey, who finished with a 4-55-0 line on a team-leading eight targets. That's not a good sign of New York's level of faith in Hyatt, who could fade further out of the picture if Slayton is able to return to action Week 7 against Denver.
Daniel Bellinger
Daniel Bellinger Can't build upon season-best effort
Fri, Oct 10, 2025, 2:39 PM
Bellinger didn't get any targets in Thursday's 34-17 Week 6 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: In a Week 5 loss to New Orleans, Bellinger broke out with a season-high and team-leading 52 receiving yards on four catches. That led to an expectation that he would be significantly involved on offense in Week 6 with New York depleted at the wideout position, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com, but things didn't shake out that way. While Bellinger did log a healthy 57 percent snap share, he never had a pass thrown his way during a game in which New York leaned heavily on its ground game. Meanwhile, No. 1 tight end Theo Johnson caught two of four targets for 27 yards and logged a 90 percent snap share. Though Bellinger has caught every one of his targets so far this season, that's resulted in a very modest 7-85-0 receiving line through six contests.
Devin Singletary
Devin Singletary Gets limited looks in Week 6 win
Fri, Oct 10, 2025, 2:32 PM
Singletary rushed three times for 10 yards and didn't log any receiving targets in Thursday's 34-17 win against Philadelphia.
Analysis: Singletary continued to get a bit of work even with the return of Tyrone Tracy to New York's backfield, but neither Singletary nor Tracy did anything of note. Meanwhile, rookie Cam Skattebo continued to cement his status as the team's workhorse back with 19 carries for 98 yards and three touchdowns along with two catches for 12 yards. Skattebo was on the field for 71 percent of the Giants' offensive plays, followed by Tracy at 30 percent and Singletary at a modest six percent (four total snaps). Given that usage, it appears Singletary will fade back into the No. 3 RB role when both Skattebo and Tracy are healthy, giving the veteran very little fantasy value.
Tyrone Tracy
Tyrone Tracy Distant No. 2 behind Skattebo
Fri, Oct 10, 2025, 9:28 AM
Tracy rushed four times for six yards and wasn't targeted in Thursday's 34-17 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: Tracy returned from a two-game absence due to a shoulder injury but ceded the vast majority of backfield opportunities to Cam Skattebo, who turned 21 touches into 110 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns. Tracy was on the field for 21 offensive snaps compared to only four for Devin Singletary, but Skattebo led the backfield with 49 snaps in addition to getting the lion's share of rushing opportunities. With Skattebo finding success in a workhorse role, Tracy likely will be relegated to a change-of-pace role moving forward.
Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart Two total TDs in upset win
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 11:20 PM
Dart completed 17 of 25 passes for 195 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while adding 13 carries for 58 yards and another score during the Giants' 34-17 win over the Eagles on Thursday night.
Analysis: Dart recorded the first signature win of his nascent career with a standout, mistake-free performance. The dynamic rookie got off to a blistering start by helping lead two first-quarter touchdown drives, possessions he capped off with a 20-yard scoring run and a 35-yard strike to Wan'Dale Robinson. Dart went on to lead three more scoring drives in the upset, and he navigated a brief third-quarter exit to be checked for a concussion to finish oout the upset victory without incident. Dart has already shown considerable promise in his first three starts while recording a pair of victories in the process. but he'll get quite the test in a Week 7 road matchup against the Broncos on Sunday, Oct. 19.
Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo Breaks out for three TDs in win
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 11:00 PM
Skattebo rushed 19 times for 98 yards and three touchdowns and brought in both targets for 12 yards in the Giants' 34-17 win over the Eagles on Thursday night.
Analysis: Backfield mate Tyrone Tracy returned from a two-game absence due to a shoulder injury, but Skattebo helped make the latter's availability a non-issue with his stellar play. The rookie was responsible for each of the Giants' last three touchdowns, recording a four-yard scoring run late in the first half and then going into the end zone from one yard out in both the third and fourth quarters. Skattebo also set a new single-game career high in rushing yards with Thursday's performance, and he notably gained 44 of his yards on the Giants' final, game-sealing drive that consumed the final 6:50 of the contest. Given his performance Thursday, Skattebo will head into another stiff challenge against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Oct. 19 as the unquestioned lead back.
Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart Quickly clears protocol
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 9:37 PM
Dart cleared concussion protocol and will return to Thursday's game against the Eagles, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Dart was hit in the head and shoulder area while attempting to escape pressure late in the third quarter. He was evaluated for a concussion and cleared, and returned to the game after missing only a couple of offensive plays.
Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart Being examined in medical tent
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 9:33 PM
Dart exited Thursday's game against the Eagles with an apparent upper-body injury, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Analysis: Dart was attempting to escape pressure late in the third quarter and suffered a series of hard hits to his head and shoulder area. He ran off the field under his own power but straight into the medical tent. Russell Wilson replaced him to complete the drive, though Dart was spotted with his helmet on the sideline during the Eagles' next offensive possession.
Lil'Jordan Humphrey
Lil'Jordan Humphrey Elevated to active roster
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 6:22 PM
Humphrey was elevated to the Giants' active roster ahead of Thursday night's contest against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Humphrey will join the active roster for the first time this season after joining New York's practice squad in the offseason. The 27-year-old will provide the team with an additional depth option at wide receiver with Darius Slayton (hamstring) unavailable for Thursday Night Football.
Jameis Winston
Jameis Winston Operating as No. 3 QB in Week 6
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 6:08 PM
Winston (coach's decision) is inactive but available as New York's emergency third quarterback Thursday night against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Winston will continue to operate as New York's No. 3 option at quarterback in Week 6. The 31-year-old will only be eligible to play if both Jaxson Dart and Russell Wilson are forced to exit early.
Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo Could share work with Tracy
Wed, Oct 8, 2025, 4:18 PM
Skattebo will have more competition for playing time with Tyrone Tracy cleared to return from a shoulder injury for Thursday's game against the Eagles.
Analysis: Over the past three weeks, Skattebo averaged 67.9 percent snap share, 16.7 carries and 5.7 targets per game, producing 315 total yards (105 per game) and a touchdown in the process. His workload projection declines with Tracy back in the lineup, but to what extent is unclear. Back in Week 2, when Tracy was healthy, Skattebo played 53 percent of snaps and took 13 touches for 59 yards (and a TD) in an overtime loss at Dallas (Tracy had five carries and five targets on 42 percent snap share). One week later, Tracy got seven carries and three targets on the first two drives against Kansas City, only to miss the rest of the game (and the following two weeks) with a shoulder injury. That's when Skattebo started to dominate New York's backfield work, although his efficiency declined in Weeks 4-5 after a big night versus the Chiefs in Week 3. Long story short, Skattebo's workload floor for Week 6 is much lower than what his recent numbers might seem to suggest.
Tyrone Tracy
Tyrone Tracy Cleared to face Eagles
Wed, Oct 8, 2025, 12:05 PM
Tracy (shoulder) does not carry an injury designation for Thursday's matchup against Philadelphia, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Tracy was estimated as a limited participant at practice Monday and Tuesday, but he's now set to return from his two-game absence and take the field for Thursday Night Football. Rookie fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo has emerged as the Giants' lead back and has tallied at least 90 scrimmage yards in three consecutive contests, but he's also handled a tremendous workload, so Tracy could handle significant touches even if he operates in a clear reserve capacity versus the Eagles. Devin Singletary is also available behind Skattebo and Tracy.
Darius Slayton
Darius Slayton Officially out for TNF
Wed, Oct 8, 2025, 11:58 AM
Slayton (hamstring) is ruled out for Thursday's game against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Slayton will miss Thursday's divisional matchup due to a hamstring injury sustained during Sunday's loss to the Saints. His next opportunity to take the field will come Sunday, Oct. 19 on the road against Denver in Week 7. With Slayton unavailable Thursday, Lil'Jordan Humphrey is expected to be elevated from the practice squad.
Darius Slayton
Darius Slayton Not expected to play Thursday
Wed, Oct 8, 2025, 8:14 AM
Slayton (hamstring) is not expected to be available for Thursday's home game against the Eagles, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Slayton suffered a hamstring injury during New York's loss to the Saints on Sunday, and he was listed as a non-participant at practice both Monday and Tuesday. He's expected to be officially declared out with the release of Wednesday's practice report, which Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports would pave the way for Lil'Jordan Humphrey to be elevated from the practice squad for Thursday's matchup and play a role on offense behind Wan'Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Beaux Collins and Gunner Olszewski.
Tyrone Tracy
Tyrone Tracy Limited in walk-through session
Tue, Oct 7, 2025, 2:30 PM
Tracy (shoulder) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Though Tracy's limited listing represents no change from Monday's estimated report, head coach Brian Daboll acknowledged that the running back would have done more on-field work Tuesday if the Giants had held a traditional practice, per Evan Barnes of Newsday. Daboll later added that he's optimistic Tracy will be able to play Thursday against the Eagles, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post, after the 25-year-old missed the Giants' previous two games with a dislocated right shoulder. If Tracy ends up being cleared for the Week 6 contest, he may have to settle for a secondary role out of the backfield behind rookie Cam Skattebo, who has likely solidified himself as New York's clear No. 1 option after totaling at least 90 yards from scrimmage in each of the past three contests.
Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart In clear for Thursday night game
Tue, Oct 7, 2025, 2:26 PM
Dart (hamstring) was listed as a full participant for Tuesday's walk-through practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Though Tuesday's session wasn't conducted at full speed, Dart didn't face any limitations and looks to be ready to play Thursday against the Eagles. Head coach Brian Daboll acknowledged as much prior to the walkthrough, telling Evan Barnes of Newsday that Dart's sore left hamstring wasn't viewed as much of a concern, even on a short week. After leading the Giants to an impressive win over the Chargers in his first NFL start in Week 4, Dart took a step back in a disappointing loss to the previously winless Saints in Week 5, committing three turnovers on the afternoon. However, Dart still managed to produce a fantasy friendly line in the loss, throwing for 202 yards and two scores while adding 55 yards on seven carries.
Darius Slayton
Darius Slayton Sidelined for practice
Tue, Oct 7, 2025, 11:39 AM
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Slayton (hamstring) won't take part in Tuesday's walk-through practice, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports.
Analysis: After tweaking his hamstring in Sunday's 26-14 loss to the Saints, Slayton could be hard-pressed to make a full recovery from the injury ahead of the Giants' Week 6 matchup with the Eagles on Thursday night. Daboll suggested that Slayton is trending toward being a game-time decision for Thursday, though the Giants will wait until Wednesday before formally giving the wideout a designation heading into the contest. If Slayton can't rally to play on a short week, the Giants would be left with Wan'Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Beaux Collins and Gunner Olszewski as their available options at receiver. New York has three receivers on its practice squad (Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Ihmir Smith-Marsette and Dalen Cambre) as potential candidates for elevation in Week 6.
Tyrone Tracy
Tyrone Tracy Estimated as limited Monday
Mon, Oct 6, 2025, 2:08 PM
Tracy (shoulder) was estimated as a limited participant on Monday's practice report, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Tracy returned to practice last Friday and appears to be nearing a return after missing the Giants' past two contests following his shoulder injury Week 3 against the Chiefs. During Tracy's absence, Cam Skattebo has started each of the last two games and has totaled 40-138-0 rushing and 8-56-0 on nine targets out of the backfield. Skattebo lost a critical fumble at the goal line in Sunday's loss to the Saints and hasn't shown enough to slam the door on Tracy regaining his role as the team's RB1 upon his return.
